The cheese is a resounding success in both domestic and foreign markets; Old Amsterdam is sold in more than 60 countries around the world.

Old Amsterdam is a brand from the Westland Family. A family company established in 1936, it was the first company in Holland to come up with a branded cheese strategy and still is year-to-date the largest privately owned branded-cheese company in Holland. Nowadays the third generation is running the company, which is still 100% family owned.

International Awards: 2020 "Best in Class"

Old Amsterdam Premium Aged Goat Gouda won "Best in Class" at the 2020 World Champion Cheese Contest (WCCC), achieving the highest score among 34 entries from over 6 countries. In 2018, Old Amsterdam won the Silver Medal in the Aged Gouda Category at WCCC. The Diamond Taste Award is granted only to products that have reached 3 Golden stars Superior Taste Award (with a score over 90%). Old Amsterdam has won 10 times over the last 10 years.
